Fear of the Lord
Fear of the Lord is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death.
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, And his children will have refuge.
The Lord is my light, and my salvation whom shall I fear. Psalm 27
Who is the Lord of sacrifice, and how does He live in the body, O Madhusudana? And how can those engaged in devotional serviceknow You at the time of death? (8.2)
There is no way to escape death, it is just like trying to escape when you are surrounded by four great mountains touching the sky.
fear. Therefore please bestow Your grace upon me and reveal again Your form as the Personality of Godhead, O Lord of lords, Oabode of the universe. (11.45)
The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skillful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].
