From the very core
From the very core of our being we desire contentment. For harmony each individual’s identity must be fully respected.
Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free.
It seems to me that nowadays the spirit of harmony is increasing, that our desire to live together calmly is growing stronger and stronger.
In principle, contentment should be pursued, but pure contentment is almost suicidal.
Sri Sri: Want, or desire, arises when you are not happy. Have you seen this? When you are very happy then there is contentment.
One Nation, One Vision, One Identity
No Nation is Perfect, it needs to be made perfect.
My Identity, my India
Happy Republic Day.
The more compassionate, kind, and gentle a person, the more he or she should be respected.
The trouble with desire is that it is a blind desire and can only give temporary satisfaction.
At the moment of desire, everything seems agreeable and desirable. One sees no obstacle to it, no reason for restraint. But then everything changes with possession. Once the desire disappears, we no longer look at the other in the same way.
